Wooden Balusters
and Newels
Balusters - Our stock balusters come in heights of 34" to 42", and widths of 1 3/8", 1 3/4", and 2 1/4". Fluting is also available.
Newels - Our standard line of newels are available in lengths ranging from 48" to 72", and come in 3 1/2" and 4" widths. Stock in Red Oak and crafted with exacting detail, our newel posts provide the primary structural support to your railing system.
Box Newel Posts
Box Newels are a Lake Shore Stair Company specialty, and can be the crown jewel of the staircase. Crafted with finely detailed mouldings, carvings, inlays, finials, and mitered top caps that achieve a unique, one-of-a-kind look. Box Newels can be manufactured to your specifications and in your choice of domestic or exotic woods.
Hand Rails
The handrail tops off the appearance of your balustrade. We offer a variety of rails, which offer beauty in detail and design coupled with functional strength and safety. Our handrails are available in several profiles and wood species. Select hardwoods such as Oak, Maple, Poplar, Cherry, and Mahogany are available. Custom rails can also be produced in almost any wood species.
Iron Balusters
Iron balusters, combined with wood newel posts and rails, create a unique and rich look for your staircase. Lake Shore Stair Co. offers an extensive selection of iron balusters. Our showroom features a wide variety of styles to suit every client's individual style and budget.
