A century ago craftsmanship was highly valued. Master woodworkers built staircases that were the centerpiece of the home and used time-honored joinery techniques and craftsmanship to hand shape the wood and connect the various parts into assemblies. Lake Shore Stair Company continues to use and expand upon these techniques by incorporating state-of-the-art parametric computer modeling and precision CNC manufacturing. We create staircases with a level of precision and detail found only in the finest furniture.
For well over 20 years, Lake Shore Stair has incorporated both 3 and 5 axis CNC machining into the manufacturing process. Working in partnership with architects, general contractors and home owners, our stairs are intricately designed and detailed through the shop drawing process. All of the elements from steel to wood to glass are seamlessly incorporated into every staircase.
Design and Engineering
Once we have worked through the design process and we have an approved set of shop drawings our Production & Scheduling Manager will work with our trusted suppliers to procure all of the raw materials and components needed to assure you have the best quality products whether it be wood, steel or glass, for your project.
Our programmers use both 3 and 5 axis CNC computer machining to ensure both accurate and and efficient fabrication of your stair components which allows us to save tremendously on our skilled labor costs and apply these savings to you.
Our shop employs only the best craftsmen in the industry who will finesse and fabricate the final wood assemblies getting them ready for final install. Our steel, ornamental iron and glass are fabricated and manufactured by our trusted industry partners directly from our drawings to ensure an efficient assembly in the field.
Although we specialize in stairways, our quality craftsmanship can extend to additional features of your home. From built-in bookshelves to entertainment centers to custom doors and doorways, we believe that the rich elegant design elements of the stairway can carry on throughout the home to tie it all together.
"Just wanted to let Lake Shore Stair Company know how pleased we are with our new stairs and railing. Ken did a wonderful job. It was easy working with all of you. We really appreciate it.
